It is at Manchester Civil Justice Centre, Ground Floor, 1 Bridge Street West PO Box 4240 Manchester M60 1WJ. The do NOT register births or deaths, they are a Probate Court. The office typically covers Salford, Stockport, Cheadle and Gatley. As well as Denton, Hyde, Audenshaw, Ashton-under-Lyme. Falsworth, Royton and Rochdale would also typically look to them as the local Registry. Prestwich, Middleton Bury and the better known Swinton and Worsley would generally also use the Manchester Registry.

The court waiting area is open to court users at least 30 minutes before the first hearing. Please arrive in sufficient time to allow any security checks to be carried out.
If you have any concerns about coming to court or the court experience please speak to a member of staff. Court staff can advise you on procedures, give you the forms you need and may help you fill them in if they have time. They cannot, however, give you legal advice.
